A wonderfully characterful vintage Moroccan hand-carved stone figure, featuring an elongated standing form, crossed arms and distinctive hoop earrings. The dark mottled stone is decorated with contrasting hand-incised detailing across the face and body, giving the piece a beautifully graphic, folk-art quality. A distinctive piece of North African folk art with plenty of personality. Size: Measuring approx 23cm tall and 10cm wide, this is a substantial and highly individual decorative sculpture. The simplified form, expressive face and natural variations within the stone make it especially appealing from every angle.
