Versatile Paris Very Bad Rice

The name is lying to you. This is very good rice. It opens the way mango sticky rice does: warm, slightly starchy rice soaked in something milky. Then the mango comes in, ripe and juicy rather than candy-sweet. Coconut rounds everything off, ube adds a soft, powdery purple sweetness, and the whole thing settles into a haze of sun on skin. It's a gourmand, but the relaxed kind. Less dessert counter, more a long afternoon somewhere hot with nowhere to be. At heart it's a skin scent. It stays close and cosy instead of filling the room, which is exactly why it works every day. For more staying power, spray it on moisturised skin or on a scarf.
