Cased set of benique bougies by Gentile, c. 1900-1920   

A cased set of benique bougies by Gentile of circa 1900-1920. The set includes 47 of its original polished steel bougies divided in two metal trays in varying sizes from 18 to 60, one bougie is missing. With the metal tray the bougies could easily be disinfected, an innovation made during WWI. The bougies are signed ‘Gentil’. With original wooden box, one of the locking hooks is missing, but still present. Dimensions: 17 x 44 x 8 cm.
