Thick Japanese paper ledger book. Early 20th Century. This type of book is called a Daifuku-cho. Daifuku meaning great or "big luck", cho meaning book. So quite literally a "book of great luck" Made from bound washi paper. It was likely a sort of ledger or receipt book, recording sales or goods. A stunning display and decor item, can be hung. Found in Kyoto, Japan on our last buying trip in May 2026. Measures approx. 12cm wide x 34cm long x 2.5cm thick
