Yamamasa Koyamaen's limited and seasonal matcha made exclusively of first-harvest fresh leaves. Best for usucha (thin tea). A light, lightly astringent and tender tea with a creamy finish and nutty notes. It can also be prepared as a thick tea( koicha) with far more intense, full-bodied, nutty and roasted notes as well as a hint of astringency. Best prepared with lower temperatures. 80°C water is recommended for usucha tea and 90-95°C for koicha tea. Available from early May until the end of July. Origin: Kyoto Prefecture, Japan The meaning of Wakaba "若葉" : "Wakaba" is the Japanese term for new, fresh leaves that have just sprouted. Expiry: 01/2027
