Overview 3M™ VHB™ Flame Retardant Tape 5958FR is a black, 1.0 mm thick, double-sided acrylic foam tape designed for high-strength permanent bonding and flame-retardant applications. It uses a modified acrylic adhesive on both sides and a highly conformable acrylic foam core, providing strong adhesion to metals, glass, plastics, painted surfaces, and many powder-coated substrates. The viscoelastic acrylic foam construction helps absorb vibration and accommodate differential movement between bonded materials. Its combination of high adhesion, conformability, durability, and flame-retardant performance makes it suitable for transportation, electronics, appliances, construction, signage, and general industrial applications.
