AS 30 E-WeedHex AP: compact battery-powered weed brush for joints and edges The AS 30 E-WeedHex AP is a compact, manoeuvrable battery-powered weed brush for mechanical weed removal on paved surfaces, cobblestones, paths and hard-to-reach edges. It removes weeds without herbicides and, thanks to its low-noise battery drive, is particularly suitable for residential complexes, hospitals, daycare centres, public facilities and urban areas. The drive uses two batteries from the STIHL AP system and provides up to 2.93 kW of maximum system power. Compared to a weed remover with a combustion engine, the machine operates without local emissions, with less noise and reduced vibrations. Effective weed removal in confined spaces The compact design makes it easier to work along walls, kerbstones, flower beds and other obstacles. Even on uneven surfaces and in narrow passageways, the AS 30 E-WeedHex AP can be guided precisely. Depending on the brush used, the working width is 35 cm with disc brush or 42 cm with brush carrier. This combines high manoeuvrability with practical surface coverage. High torque with controlled brush speed The motor-brush gear reduction transmits high torque to the work brush. This allows the AS 30 E-WeedHex AP to remove even firmly rooted weeds from joints, depressions and uneven paved surfaces. The brush speed of 600 rpm is significantly lower than that of fast-running brushcutters. This reduces the risk of stone projection. In combination with the protective cover, dust and flying debris are also limited. Precise work in joints and depressions The wheels can be individually adjusted in height. This allows the brush to be tilted laterally and guided specifically into joints, gaps or recessed areas. This adjustment option supports thorough weed removal along kerbstones, wall edges and irregular surfaces. Three brushes for different surfaces The AS 30 E-WeedHex AP is supplied without a brush. Three brush systems are available for various applications: The disc steel brush offers high cutting power for robust surfaces and stubborn growth. The brush carrier with three, four or six tufted brushes operates quietly and reaches joints and depressions particularly well. The optional nylon brush is suitable for sensitive surfaces such as natural stone, clinker, terracotta or wooden decking. Thanks to the quick-change system, the brushes can be adapted to the respective application without complex modifications. Easy battery swap in the STIHL AP system The two AP batteries are directly accessible and can be quickly and tool-free swapped as needed. Existing batteries from the STIHL AP system that are approved for the respective machine can thus also be used for the AS 30 E-WeedHex AP. The battery system is also used in the larger AS 60 E-WeedHex AP and the professional mulching lawnmower AS 510 E-ProClip A AP. This allows professional users to utilise existing batteries and chargers for various tasks, from weed removal on confined areas to the maintenance of larger spaces. This reduces additional investments, simplifies operational planning and improves the utilisation of existing battery fleets. Availability The AS 30 E-WeedHex AP, AS 60 E-WeedHex AP and AS 510 E-ProClip A AP will be available from the 2027 season through authorised AS-Motor specialist dealers. Reduced brush speed The reduced brush speed of 600 rpm and protective cloth enable safe work with minimal risk of stone ejection or dust. Perfect edge-clearing Lateral offset between brush and chassis enables perfect edge-clearing. Asymmetric chassis adjustment Individually height-adjustable wheels (four levels) allow edges and depressions to be even more effectively cleared out and cleaned. High brush torque Engine/brush gear reduction more than doubles the torque for stubborn weeds. Handle bar The handle bar can be adjusted to 3 positions.
