Delicate maritime notes of sea spray and coastal breeze provide freshness, while the peat has mellowed into subtle bonfire embers and light wood smoke. With time in the glass, toasted coconut, almond biscuits, chamomile, polished oak and faint beeswax add further complexity without becoming overly woody. Palate: Silky and composed, the palate delivers mature bourbon cask character alongside Kilchoman’s unmistakable coastal spirit. Sweet malt, vanilla cream and caramelised sugar are balanced by flavours of baked apple, white peach and citrus peel. The smoke is elegant rather than dominant, weaving through the whisky with notes of gentle ash, charred oak and a hint of smoked sea salt. Oak spice develops gradually with cinnamon, white pepper and ginger, while the texture remains creamy and well integrated throughout.
