Croftengea 18 Year Old 2007 The Whisky Jury 49.2% 70cl
Croftengea 18 Year Old 2007 The Whisky Jury 49.2% 70cl Single malt Scotch distillery Loch Lomond is known for its versatility, and this Croftengea bottling (the indie trade name for its peated whisky) is unusual indeed. Released by The Whisky Jury, it was distilled in 2007 and aged for its full 18-year maturation in a refill hogshead. The results are fun. There’s a savoury, almost cheesy peat (reminiscent of Campbeltown) alongside hedgerow berries and stone fruits. Just 277 bottles of this wildly expressive whisky will be released.
