Occasionally, we acquire a salvaged item simply because it has undeniable presence. This dramatic wall-mounted light features a sculptural winged creature that walks the line between griffin and dragon, rendered in cast aluminum with flowing Gothic Revival-inspired detailing. The oversized plastic globe and substantial scale create a striking silhouette that is equally at home in a restaurant, wine cellar, covered patio, themed interior, or commercial space seeking a touch of theatrical character. The fixture retains its existing wiring and is offered as found. The wiring has not been tested and we recommend inspection and installation by a qualified electrician. The mounting area appears to have been repaired at some point, and the fixture would benefit from a fresh coat of paint should the next owner wish to restore its appearance. While not antique or vintage, this is a unique architectural lighting piece with plenty of personality and visual impact.
