Kenya Kii

With Mount Kenya visible on the horizon, the Kii Coffee Factory is a popular Washing Station situated atop rich volcanic soil and aided by steady rainfall. The washing station is supported by a majority of women farmers, who each manage an average of .5 hectares of land with coffee intergrown with macadamia, avocado, beans and other crops. The station is able to employ agronomists to advise local farmers, and ranks amongst the highest paying cooperatives in the country - yielding strong farmer loyalty and high quality cherries. Kii is a bright and complex coffee with good clarity and expressive fruit character. Its acidity is berry-like, with notes of orange and hazelnut undertones.
