Produced only from Montecchio's finest vineyard parcels in the hills of Chianti Classico, PRIMUM represents the estate's highest expression of traditional Riserva winemaking. The vineyards sit at elevations of approximately 300–350 metres above sea level in the heart of Tuscany, where warm days and cool nights allow for slow, balanced ripening. Only the best fruit from each vintage is selected for this wine, which is then matured for approximately 26 months in large oak casks before release. The result is a wine of remarkable structure, elegance and ageing potential, combining the vibrant character of Sangiovese with the complexity that only extended cellar maturation can provide.
