WWKIP Day June 13

Join us in celebration of our inclusive stitching community on June 13, Worldwide Knit in Public Day! Our theme this year is visibility. Whether you knit, crochet, crossstich or embroider, crafters of all stripes are invited to join us outside String Theory with your project of choice (bring your own chair!). We will have music and light snacks. In honor of Pride Month, participants will be invited to help us with a fun yarn-bombing project in support of local LGBTQ youth. Part of our project will include crocheted butterflies. Here is a free pattern (easy enough for a beginner) in case you would like to make some ahead of time and bring them in. 10% of all sales on June 13 will be donated to a Young:Equal, a local organization whose mission is to create environments that promote self-acceptance, community, and love for the LGBTQ+ community.
