The binder neck is finished with a special three-needle, one-drop stitch for added durability and a clean, precise edge. This iteration runs 3cm longer than the standard version, giving it a slightly more relaxed, oversized length that suits the graphic and the silhouette. That graphic draws from the work of Utagawa Kuniyoshi, the Edo-period woodblock print artist whose fierce, dynamic warrior compositions made him one of Japan's most celebrated illustrators virtually overnight. The image adapted here depicts a general on horseback, great axe in hand, riding hard through snow at the head of his forces, rendered with the raw energy and visual charge that defined Kuniyoshi's work and has kept it alive for centuries.
