"Charge It" - How One Word Changed How I See Color

Just finished a small 9 x 12" oil on panel - plein air work on Water St Newburyport looking east at a flower garden with two runners. I pushed the colors (charged them) after focusing initially on the values. I explain my approach is separate steps to use and enhance strong colors to create a painterly work that enhances the scene substantially.
