Custom Yamaha high-durability speaker design Each model in the DXS mk3 series features a custom-designed long-excursion woofer developed specifically for subwoofer performance. The 15-inch and 12-inch models use durable 3-inch voice coils, while the 18-inch model features a larger 4-inch voice coil for increased power handling and long-term reliability. Optimised band-pass cabinet design The enclosure uses an advanced band-pass structure designed to reduce unwanted noise and improve low-frequency clarity, even at high output levels. Large-diameter ports and a high-performance grille help minimise wind noise while delivering deep, powerful and controlled bass response. Durable plywood cabinet with polyurea coating Built for demanding live sound and installation environments, the plywood cabinet is finished with a robust polyurea coating that helps protect against scratches, impacts and wear during transport, setup and regular use. User-friendly LCD control panel A rear-mounted LCD display and encoder provide straightforward access to key settings including EQ, delay, routing and preset management. Users can store up to eight custom presets, alongside factory presets optimised for Yamaha DXR mk3 loudspeaker systems. Advanced DSP processing The DXS mk3 series features a high-performance 96kHz DSP processor for clear, low-latency audio performance. Yamaha’s XTENDED LF mode further enhances low-frequency extension, delivering deeper bass reproduction when required. 2500W Class-D power amplifier A highly efficient 2500W Class-D amplifier provides powerful and stable performance, supported by a newly developed switching power supply for improved efficiency and consistent operation at high output levels. D-Remote app control The Yamaha D-Remote app for iOS and Android allows wireless Bluetooth control of compatible DXR and DXS mk3 speakers. Users can adjust levels, EQ, delay, crossover settings and other system parameters remotely, while also monitoring speaker status, temperature and limiter activity. Up to ten compatible devices can be connected simultaneously for streamlined system management.
