Ambix Spirits Zinfandel Grappa

40% ABV Ambix Spirits is a small brandy distillery and apple farm in Sebastopol, CA. Founded by David Klein, a PhD physicist who worked in biotech and medical devices. He and his partner Zoe tend to over 2000 apple, pear and quince trees and make apple Brandies that are Calvados inspired but approached through the lens of their California location. This is a Grappa of Zinfandel from grapes used by Radio-Coteau Winery on the Sonoma Coast. From a tiny batch of just 145 half bottles comes this fragrant and approachable Grappa that is soft and pleasing on the palate. Beguiling and complex.
