Petzval style Helios 44-2 2/58mm №7788729 M42 The optical design of this Helios-44 was modified in my workshop to produce a stronger swirly bokeh, similar to Joseph Petzval lenses. There are no aperture blades – there was simply no room left for them after the glass elements were repositioned. Fixed at f/2.0 only. The edges of the glass elements were additionally blackened, resulting in slightly stronger contrast. Restored using modern lubricants. The glass is washed with Zeiss products inside and out.
