Cydonia oblonga ' Kuganskaya' Variety description: From the southern Caucasus region of Russia. Fruit is large, round, and bright when fully ripe yellow. Reported to be sweet enough for fresh eating, but this level of ripeness will only be achieved in areas with long, hot summers. An upright growing, naturally small tree. Site requirements: Full sun location. Quince will grow in a range of soil types provided the planting location is well drained. Soil pH of 6.5 is ideal. Will grow to 12-15' tall and wide.
