Woven Wire Gold Framed Labradorite

Click on photo to magnify. There are almost endless fascinating possibilities of weave patterns, shapes, sizes, and inclusions when sculpting wire into wearable art! The patterns are expertly woven & the piece carefully sculpted into intricate designs. The legend of labradorite is linked to the shimmering, changing light and colors of the aurora borealis. This stone has two tiny inclusions, which are barely noticeable because of the swirls I've included in the design. Gold colored tarnish resistant silver plated copper (what a mouthful) has been woven & sculpted into a bevel type frame that still allows the stone to shine! (pardon the reflection of my light box lights on the shiny stone surface.) 2 3/8 x 1" on an 18" gold plated chain.
