Churned Butter Roll by Pamplie (8.8 oz) | Additive-Free | Imported from France
Made in the village of Pamplie in western France, this is one of only three butters in the country to carry the Charentes-Poitou AOP, a protected designation that guarantees origin, tradition, and quality in every bar. The cream is matured with lactic cultures for a full day before being slow-churned in traditional barrel churns. That patient process is what gives Pamplie its hallmark: a rich, nutty flavor with a gentle tang, a firm creamy texture, and a clean melt that pastry and sauce alike demand. At 80% butterfat, it bakes flakier croissants, builds silkier sauces, and finishes a plate of radishes or a seared steak with a depth that industrial butter simply can't reach. Tasting notes Creamy, slightly tangy, with a faint hazelnut finish. Clean and long on the palate. How to use it On fresh baguette, with radishes or oysters. In laminated pastries and buttercreams. Finishing sauces, roasted vegetables, or a steak off the pan. Anywhere butter is the point, not the background.
