Killer 1960s Penny Lane Tapestry Coat w/ Mongolian Lamb Trim by “Country Pacer”
A holy Grail, indeed, this piece is from my personal collection. I have the same coat in purple, and whenever I see it it’s always in purple, but I have never seen it in the golden mustard yellow! Original Penny Lane style hourglass woven wool tapestry coat with dyed golden mustard yellow Mongolian lamb fur! Made by “Country Pacer.” fully lined in black Saturn. Buttons up the front in a double breasted style with antique gold metal buttons. Wide matching belt with antique gold metal large buckle. Nipped defined waist with belt loops, hidden hip pockets, and flared mini skirt. The fur is in amazing condition, very supple and soft, no dryness or cracking. Mint condition, size extra small to medium. Accommodates up to a 36” bust closed, up to a 32” waist (cinches smaller with the belt too), up to 44” hips, and 34” total length. The woven tapestry actually has every color of the rainbow in it, it’s really fascinating to see it in person. Of course the dominating color is the golden mustard yellow. Such a killer 1960S piece, this is the GOAT as far as Penny Lane coats are concerned.
