ASUS PB60 UC-ENGINE Mini PC i5-9500T 8GB 256GB SSD WiFi Win 11 Pro HDMI | Wty
ASUS PB60 UC Engine — Windows 11 Pro Mini PC A compact 0.7 litre business desktop built around the six-core Intel Core i5-9500T, with 8GB of DDR4 memory, a 256GB SSD, and both HDMI and VGA outputs. Professionally tested and graded by Reboot IT, with a 12-month warranty included. Please read before ordering — Wi-Fi antennas not included This machine has a Wi-Fi card fitted internally, but the two external screw-on antennas are not supplied. Without them, Wi-Fi will be detected by Windows but the usable range is close to zero, so it is not practical for wireless use as delivered. Two options: connect it by Gigabit Ethernet, which is how these units were deployed and needs nothing extra, or fit a pair of standard RP-SMA antennas, which are inexpensive and widely available. We would rather tell you up front than have this be a surprise. Key Benefits Six-core Intel Core i5-9500T — Six physical cores at 2.20 GHz, turning up to 3.70 GHz when needed. Six real cores in a 35W envelope is a genuinely capable office processor, and a solid step beyond the dual-core chips common in machines this size. HDMI and VGA together — Runs two displays, and the VGA output connects directly to older monitors, projectors and meeting-room screens without hunting for an adapter. That combination is increasingly rare on current hardware. 256GB solid state drive — Fast, silent, shock-resistant storage with no moving parts. Boot and application load times are a world away from a mechanical disk. 0.7 litre chassis — Small enough to VESA-mount behind a monitor, sit on a shelf or tuck into a cabinet. The low-power processor keeps it quiet and cool in enclosed spaces. Seven USB ports — Ample connectivity for keyboard, mouse, headset, webcam, printer and external storage all at once, without a hub. Commercial-grade build with TPM 2.0 — Originally deployed as a Crestron UC Engine in corporate meeting rooms, specified for continuous operation. TPM 2.0 supports BitLocker encryption and Windows 11 security requirements. Performance in Use The ASUS PB60 is a commercial mini PC rather than a consumer one, and this particular version was built as a Crestron UC Engine — the compute module that sat inside corporate meeting-room systems, driving displays and running conferencing software. That heritage tells you what to expect: hardware specified to run continuously, in a chassis designed to disappear behind a screen rather than sit on a desk. The Core i5-9500T is the quiet achiever here. It is a 35W part, so it does not need aggressive cooling, but it still brings six physical cores to the job. For accounting packages, Office, a browser with a great many tabs open, line-of-business applications and video calls, it has real headroom. Windows 11 Pro is fully supported on a 9th Generation Core i5, so this is not a machine living on borrowed time. Two things to plan around. The 8GB of memory is fitted as two 4GB sticks, which fills both slots — upgrading means replacing both rather than simply adding one, though the board accepts up to 32GB. And there is no internal speaker in this model; sound comes out over HDMI to your monitor or through the 3.5mm headphone jack, which suits it well to a desk with a monitor or headset but means it will be silent on its own. With those understood, it makes an excellent reception, back-office, point-of-sale or digital-signage machine, particularly anywhere a VGA display is still in service. The Wi-Fi card is fitted and Windows will detect it, but the two external screw-on antennas are not included and without them the signal is too weak to be useful. Fitting a pair of standard RP-SMA antennas restores full wireless, and they are inexpensive and easy to source. If you are connecting by Ethernet, none of this affects you. Does it have a built-in speaker? No — this model does not include an internal speaker. Audio is carried over HDMI to your monitor, or through the 3.5mm headphone jack for speakers or a headset. Is Windows 11 Pro included and activated? Yes. It ships with Windows 11 Pro installed and activated against its own licence, ready to use on arrival, with domain join, BitLocker, Group Policy and Remote Desktop host available. There is no separate licence to buy. Can I upgrade the memory or storage? Yes, though note the 8GB is fitted as two 4GB sticks filling both slots, so an upgrade means replacing them rather than adding. The board takes up to 32GB. The M.2 SATA drive can also be swapped for a larger one. What is a "UC Engine"? It is the compute module from a Crestron Flex meeting-room system — an ASUS PB60 built to Crestron's specification to run conferencing software in corporate boardrooms. Mechanically and electrically it is a standard PB60 mini PC, and it runs Windows exactly as any other would. Does it include a monitor, keyboard or mouse? No — the mini PC, its power adapter and power cable are supplied. Peripherals are sold separately, and we usually have refurbished monitors and accessories in stock. What shipping options are available? Free standard shipping anywhere in Australia is included with this machine. Who is Reboot IT? We are a Melbourne-based refurbisher operating since 2001.
