Growing Plants, Growing Minds - Grade 1-3

Grades 1–3 Guiding Question: What helps plants and people feel safe, supported, and ready to grow? Theme: Care, connection, and curiosity Categories: Nature exploration, sensory learning, safety, responsibility, growth Description: Students explore plants and natural materials through sensory observation, simple gardening, and reflection. They investigate what plants need to grow and connect those needs to ideas such as care, safety, patience, supportive environments, and healthy routines. Students practise gentle plant handling, cooperation, observation, and responsibility while creating something living that they can continue to care for. Horticultural Therapy Connection: sensory engagement, calming interaction with nature, nurturing responsibility, choice-making, confidence, and connection.
