CORICAMA ITALY 28cm Italian Picklock Stag 1950s vintage automatic knife

CORICAMA ITALY 28cm Italian Picklock Stag vintage switchblade knife made in the late 1950s with unusual Square locking tab. It measures 27.3cm (10 3/4 inches) open with D stamped brass liners and nickel silver bolsters, button and safety cap. The bayonet style blade is nearly full (97%) with some light patina, light scratches and light pepper spots and has been used a lot and cleaned in the past. The front ricasso is stamped INOX and the backside is stamped CORICAMA ITALY. Stag scales (handles) are in great condition with lots of character and have a RED DOT safety, though the red has faded. The knife works great with blade tip deep and centered in the well closed, strong snap and tight lockup open. These with the Coricama stamp on the backside are often referred to as Pantograph knives and it's believed that they were made by other Italian cutlers to fill orders for Coricama main cutlers when they couldn't keep up. Cool old Italian picklock. Does not rattle if shaken with blade open.
