A roomy 22-litre main compartment, a padded interior sleeve that takes a 15" laptop or tablet, a divided front pocket for the bits that always go missing, and an exterior pocket sized for a water bottle. YKK zips throughout, because the zip is always the first thing to go. It is made from 14 oz certified organic cotton canvas. Heavy, structured, the kind of fabric that holds its shape when the bag is full and does not slump when it is empty. The back panel is padded with recycled polyester felt, spun from used water bottles. And when the term takes its toll, the whole thing goes in the machine. Carbon Black is the low-key one. A soft, true off-black that hides scuffs, marker and the mystery smears of a school week, and looks just as right on a commute as on a playground.
