Created through layers of free-machine embroidery, this sculptural flower combines thread, naturally dyed silk, wire, and stone. The silk centre is hand-dyed with turmeric, bringing a gentle golden glow to the piece. A thread-wrapped wire stem curls around a found stone, anchoring the flower while allowing it to rise lightly into space. The work explores the tension between delicacy and resilience, transforming simple materials into a celebration of beauty and presence.
