Antique Ushak carpet

Beautiful antique Ushak carpet with delicate pale colours, soft pinks and muted reds, oranges and grey tones. You can see the background has a subtle large scale ‘Boteh’ design which is quite beautiful and simple. The pile is very good on this wool carpet with only minimal lower areas of pile. No major losses to the ends or side/selvedges, as far as decorative carpets go this one would be very easy to live with. Ushak carpets are wonderful to place in a variety of rooms, this piece especially as it has no central motif but a muted all over floral design.
