Beautiful bands of red and orange Agate surround the sparkly Quartz crystal center of this fabulous geode pair from New Mexico. Whether you call them Baker Eggs, Thundereggs, Geodes, or Lithophysae, these gorgeous stones have amazing minerals inside! Mined in the early 1990's this crystal-filled formation comes from the famous Baker Egg Mine at Baker Ranch in Luna County, New Mexico. Featuring glittering Quartz crystals and richly colored Agate, this large pair will definitely add some pop to your collection. A surprise mineral friend may also be in the mix, as this specimen fluoresces a vibrant green under UV light...perhaps some Opal along for the ride? The exterior of the pair has a bubbly, natural exterior, and the inside has been cut and polished to a high gloss finish.
