For this edition, that means shaping your own Japanese Akari lamp: working with rice paper, texture, and warm light to create something entirely your own, guided by an artist throughout. No experience needed, just hands and curiosity. What to carry: Just yourself - all materials are provided. What to expect: • Introduction & Materials Overview — paper, form, and technique • Hands-on Making — building and shaping the lamp using rice paper, reed coils, and bamboo sticks • Finishing Touches — colour, texture, and personalisation Materials Included: Rice paper, reed coils, bamboo sticks, glue, brushes, glue gun (for use), tape, and colour papers.
