Handcrafted Striped Raffia Basket in Blue & Purple

This beautiful handcrafted striped raffia basket is made from ‘rabane’ which is a finer raffia matting than our traditional French market baskets which makes them supple and flexible and light weight to carry but still just as strong. Very pretty in bold colours of with multi-coloured blue and purple stripes on both sides. The bottom is flat so things stand upright making them good for shopping or simply perfect for everyday use like going out or to work. Features include riveted leather handles of approximately 60cm the bases of which are tucked seamlessly into the internal walls of the basket, so they don’t interfere with external beauty of the basket. Inside there is an interior zip pocket and a material drawstring topper which pulls together easily with a cord lock spring loaded toggle to hide contents, yet it is really easy to see everything you have in there once opened.
