Inspired by the landscapes, textures and shifting light of the Northern Rivers, his paintings explore the relationship between nature, memory and emotion through intuitive mark-making and layered compositions. Working with earthy palettes and expressive textures, Stephen has developed a distinctive visual language that balances spontaneity with quiet restraint. Each artwork invites personal interpretation while reflecting a deep connection to place. After spending more than a decade living and travelling throughout Europe, Stephen returned to Australia where he now lives and works with his family. His original paintings are held in private collections across Australia and internationally, and he also accepts a limited number of commissioned works.
