Overview The Oyster Perpetual 277200 in candy pink dates to Rolex's 2020 relaunch of the line, one of four lacquer colours introduced alongside turquoise blue, coral red, and yellow. Rolex pulled candy pink from the catalogue in 2022, then reinstated it at Watches and Wonders 2025 on the current 2232 movement. That withdrawal and return is the more telling fact than the colour itself: Rolex doesn't re-issue a dial it doesn't believe still has demand behind it. The case is Oystersteel, 31mm, with a domed bezel and a screw-down Twinlock crown, waterproof to 100 metres. The dial is built from six layers of lacquer over a brass base, finished with applied hour markers under Chromalight for legibility in low light. The Oyster Perpetual carries no date function across the entire line, by design; with no complication to differentiate references, the dial colour is the only variable, and Rolex treats it accordingly. This example is fitted to the Oyster bracelet in solid three-piece links, with a folding Oysterclasp and 5mm Easylink extension. The movement is the Calibre 2232, Rolex's current in-house automatic for the smaller Oyster Perpetual sizes, running a Syloxi hairspring in silicon with Paraflex shock protection. Power reserve is approximately 55 hours, rated to -2/+2 seconds a day after casing and certified as a Superlative Chronometer. The 277200 sits at the entry point of Rolex's current catalogue, and within its own reference the candy pink dial is now the scarcer configuration given its four-year absence between 2022 and 2025.
