Labisia obtusifolia ‘Kura Kura’ – Turtle Back Plant
A wonderfully unusual tropical plant with glossy, deeply textured leaves patterned like a turtle’s shell. Its rich green foliage, pale veining and compact growth make ‘Kura Kura’ a real collector’s plant and an excellent choice for terrariums. Native to the tropical forests of Southeast Asia, it prefers warm, humid and consistently moist conditions. The name kura-kura means turtle or tortoise, referring to the distinctive pattern of its leaves. Light: Bright indirect light is ideal. Watering: They always prefer moist but not soggy soil, so give your plant water when the top inch of the earth starts to feel dry. Be careful not to overwater; you don't want to risk root rot and don't let the soil dry out completely. Temperature: 18-20°C is its ideal temperature range. Try to place this plant in a place that avoids sudden temperature changes or drafts. Potting: A well-draining mix that holds moisture is an excellent choice. Our Thirst Trap mix is a great choice. Hot tips: Humidity lovers! Great choice to add to your terrarium project or keep in a steamy (bright) bathroom. Pet Friendly: YES
