Tony Rosenthal Disc Tabletop Sculpture, 1968 A tabletop sculpture by Tony Rosenthal, created in 1968. Rosenthal repeatedly explored this distinctive disc form, including in several monumental, large-scale works. The sculpture is constructed from machined sections of solid brass joined together. A ring-bearing mechanism on the underside allows the disc to rotate in place. Signed “Rosenthal” on the underside. Dimensions: 6 in. diameter × 2.75 in. deep Condition: Shows scuffs, scratches, oxidation, and rust-colored residue throughout, consistent with age and use. Presents well.
