Region La Mancha Country Spain Type Sweet Grape Chardonnay Style Silky and luscious ABV 9% Closure Cork Method Organic & Biodynamic About the wine Dominio de Punctum Dulce Venganza is a sweet Chardonnay from Vino de la Tierra de Castilla, made from late-harvested grapes grown organically on the estate. The producer states it is organic, vegan, and biodynamic; it is harvested at night with pre-fermentation cryomaceration; and it is bottled at 9% ABV. Tasting notes Pale amber in the glass, with a dense, glossy look. The nose is intense and nutty, led by almond, dried fruit and orange peel. On the palate it feels lush, smooth and mouth-coating, with a sweet, generous core and a softly unctuous finish. The producer specifically highlights light amber colour with iodised hints, plus notes of nuts, almond and orange, and describes the palate as dense, sweet and very smooth. About the winemaker The Fernandez family founded and continues to own Dominio de Punctum. This family has a long winemaking history, but this is a new venture from four young siblings set up in 2005. Jesus Fernandez is the vineyard manager, and Ruth Fernandez is the head winemaker, and they make their wines organically and biodynamically, free of chemicals and in harmony with the environment.
