M'rirt's Modernized Vibrant Boujad | 6'-4" x 9'-2"

This rug was woven by a group of artisans from a village just outside Beni M’rirt, located in Morocco’s Middle Atlas Mountains. Traditional Beni M’rirt rugs are known for their thick knotting technique, which gives each piece an especially plush feel underfoot. The design was inspired by a vintage Boujad rug and reimagined through the plush texture of the Beni M’rirt knot. Traditionally, Boujad rugs are known for their rich red and orange palettes, often featuring complex geometric patterns of squares, diamonds, and other symbolic motifs. Made from 100% wool and dyed with natural spice-based pigments, this vibrant piece brings warmth, texture, and artful beauty into the home.
