Mid-Century Kars Rug - 6’10 x 9’4

ON HOLD - email for availability This Kars rug was woven in Eastern Anatolia during the middle of the 20th century. It features a scalloped central medallion and four scroll cornices in copper and cream on an undulating chocolate ground. The field features a lovely brown which undulates wildly from light to dark brown which gives a subtle but pulsating energy. The whole is framed by an a single chain of blossoming flowers. in very good condition with a medium pile of hearty lush wool.
