Thames Pattern

Drawn from daily observations of the River Thames, this hand-tooled repeat captures the constant movement of water as it curls, eddies and flows through the heart of London. Created as a seamless pattern, the design lends itself to a wide range of printed and woven textile applications. Design process The design began with pen and ink sketches inspired by the River Thames. A traditional "four-corner" rotation technique was used to develop the repeat before it was refined as seamless vector artwork, ready for a wide range of textile applications.
