The EasyPro® sits between the two. It has a higher SEER2 (20.0) and better warranty (5-yr compressor / 3-yr parts) than the DIY Select, but a shorter warranty and lower SEER2 than the premium DIY 5th Gen (which offers 7-yr compressor and Energy Star certification). It’s the best value for buyers who want more than entry-level without paying full premium price. Does this unit require special wiring? Yes — the EasyPro® 18K runs on 208-230V and requires a dedicated 230V circuit. A licensed electrician is recommended for the electrical hookup. What suction line size does this unit use? This unit uses a 1/2" suction line. The included 11.5 ft. line set is pre-sized for this unit. If you need a longer run, make sure any additional line set uses 1/2" suction. What is the minimum cooling temperature? The EasyPro® 18K cools down to 5°F outdoor temperature. For heating, it operates down to -13°F.
