For the first SPENCE LAB experiment, artist Kip Ortega of Dos Needles transforms our signature Logo Sweatshirt into a one-of-one embroidered artifact. Starting with the DoubleSwan — the core symbol of the Spence identity — Kip imagined a new home for the mark beyond the court: a hand-stitched pastoral landscape of trees, lily pads, and still water. Built on our original midweight loopback French terry foundation, the sweatshirt delivers the same relaxed fit, soft structure, and lived-in feel that only gets better with time. Each piece is individually embroidered by hand, making no two exactly alike. A familiar form, viewed through a different lens. Comfortable? Always. Ordinary? Never.
