Founded by a tight knit community of family and friends who grew up together, their goal is to raise the standard of educational and medical services to the children of the coffee communities in Honduras. Just 10 kilometers outside of the town center of Corquín, in the southern department of Copán, Honduras, lies Finca San Rafael. Finca San Rafael is nestled in the mountains, filled with native fauna species. The land maintains ecological balance and provides natural shade for the coffee trees. Combined with the fertile soil and temperate climate, the farm is an ideal location to grow high quality coffee. The farm is ran by a powerful mother and son duo - Doña Norma Iris, an 86 year old and mother to Donaldo Gonzalez, her son who is committed to carry on his mother's legacy. This lot of Parainema was processed as a traditional natural, resulting in sweet notes of hazelnut and pecan nuts, with a soft acidity of a red apple.
