This is a spray toner ✷ The plants ✷ Rose, Rosemary, Calendula, Chamomile, Lemon Peel, and Linden in a Witch Hazel and Rose Water base. Together the plants blend to make a toner that is astringent, soothing, and clarifying. Based on ever-changing recipe that’s supposedly been around for seven hundred years since it was formulated as a beauty aid for Erzebet, the Queen of Hungary at the time. I used many traditional ingredients (like rosemary and rose water). I also played around with some different herbs of my own choosing, like linden, a beloved medicinal tree in Hungary that happens to have valuable properties for the skin. I left out others, like the often-included sage. It’s just not an herb commonly used in Hungary. ✷ How to use ✷ A facial toner after cleansing A partner with your face wash (mix it in your hand with the powder) Emulsify it with your favorite body oil in your hands to create an instant face cream ✷ Potency you can feel ✷ This isn’t mass-produced. It’s handmade in small batches with seasonally gathered plants and traditional infusion techniques.
