Mirage Gourmand is the first creation from Les Nobles Essences, and it does not try to seduce straight away: it makes you wait. Margaux Le Paih-Guérin laid down a financier fresh from the oven — roasted pistachio, almond, crumb still warm — then wrapped it in a powdery opening that keeps the gourmand well clear of syrup. The heart moves on to hazelnut and tonka bean, before vanilla takes over, softened by white musks and straightened by guaiac wood, dry and smoky. Concentrated at 25% and macerated for two to three months, this extrait does not evaporate: it settles in, for eight to twelve hours, with a dense trail people notice before they know its name.
