Battery GPS tracker FAQs Does the Beacon GPS tracker need a subscription? Yes. Choose monthly at £5.95 inc VAT or annual at £65 inc VAT. You activate your plan during setup by scanning the QR code in the box. How long does the Beacon tracker battery last? Up to 3 years under normal use. Choosing more frequent optional updates will use battery faster. The 2 x AA Energizer Lithium batteries are included and you can replace them yourself. How often does Beacon update its location? At the start of every journey, five minutes in and at the end, plus a check-in every 24 hours. You can add optional updates every 1, 4 or 8 hours. Can I move a GPS tracker between vehicles? Yes.
