Think back to the halcyon days of smogged out sunsets in Los Angeles circa 1967-68/ 1981-84, the soundtrack to those lysergic fueled happy hours, Fruited Planes nails a perfect nexus of the former era via The Seeds/Love/LA nuggets and the latter via The Rain Parade (David Roback era), Gun Club, X, 100 Flowers, with the melodic hooks of the Kendra led Dream Syndicate locked in arms with the first coupla Green On Red LPs and you’re getting the vibe.
