French Four-Panel Folding Screen in Aubusson-Style Tapestry, Early 20th Century

An early-to-mid 20th-century French folding screen upholstered in an Aubusson-style tapestry. The four-panel design depicts a classic, courtly 18th-century scene with figures, hounds and a chateau landscape. Woven in a muted palette. The lower portion is finished in a clean, textured neutral hessian. The reverse is upholstered in a pink moiré. Dimensions: Height 178.5cm x Width 190cm x Depth 4cm Condition: Good sturdy condition. The tapestry shows gentle fading consistent with age and use. One area of fraying to the front at the bottom, shown in image 3.
