Magnificent vintage three-quarter length coat in genuine fur, most likely fox ? a luxury material renowned for its density, shine and exceptional durability. This is an authentic high-end artisanal piece crafted by the house of S. Jidouard, Furrier-Designer formerly located in Saintes. Style & Cut: Superb geometric checkerboard/patchwork assembly highlighting the natural shades of brown, iced chestnut and fawn. Closures & Versatility: Double-breasted front closure with 3 marbled round buttons. Features a discreet furrier's hook under the collar for a full, high closure to hermetically protect the neck from wind and cold. Offers two styles: open notched collar or enveloping high collar. High Fur Finishes: Full lining in plain brown satin. Features a wide piece of genuine brown leather sewn under the arm (armpit area). This high-end technical gusset, typical of master artisans, prevents fur wear from repeated arm friction and provides excellent freedom of movement. Period: Vintage (1970s - 1980s).
