Fun Historical Fact During the 1930's, American furniture makers continued to draw inspiration from elaborate Victorian and Renaissance Revival designs of the late 19th century. Decorative mirrors were popular furnishings, often incorporating architectural details such as arches, carved-style moldings, and ornamental crests. Cast plaster and other molded composition materials allowed manufacturers to reproduce intricate decorative elements more affordably than traditional hand carving. Today, these revival-style mirrors are appreciated for their historical character, craftsmanship, and ability to introduce antique-inspired elegance into contemporary interiors.
