Clara Mann - Wishbone

Clara Mann's Wishbone is an album built on light and shade, where intimate, emotionally direct songwriting draws strength from contrast. Inspired by the raw, performance-led approach of Fiona Apple and Tom Waits, while rooted in the plainspoken tradition of English balladry, Mann crafts songs that feel timeless without slipping into nostalgia. Produced by Fabian Prynn, Wishbone features guitarist Kit Mosely, double bassist Marianne Schofield, violist Owen Spafford, cellist Martin Egidi and banjo player Tennessee Woodiel. Their understated performances give these songs warmth, space and quiet confidence, allowing Mann's distinctive voice and writing to take centre stage.
